Security Features

• Full Photo ID: Displays a black and white photo with no background, only a faded area behind the bust. A black and white ghost image is centered on the right, above a ribbon with the cardholder’s name in black text. Under a black light, the ghost image appears glowing.

  
  

• Multi-Color Printing on Front: The New York State driver’s license and ID front feature a multi-color background (yellow, blue, red, white), the state seal on the right, and the Statue of Liberty in the top left corner.

  
  

• American Flag & Black Star Symbols: A small colored American flag in the bottom right corner under the ghost image indicates an enhanced Real ID. A regular ID has a black circle with a star instead.

  
  

• Special New York Driver’s License Features – Multi-Image Guilloche: Identification numbers are located in a small gray header near the top right, printed in sets of three without letters.

  
  

• Microscopic Printing: Found to the left of the full photo ID on the front; microprinting uses blue and gray ink. The identification number beneath the header is printed in black in sets of three characters.

  
  

• Curled Credentials Around Window of Ghost Portrait: The initials of the license holder are curled around the ghost portrait, with identification text bolded and larger than the standard black text.

  
  

• UV Stars & Figures: The back features a black and white Stars and Stripes design that transitions to blue towards the left corner, designed to illuminate under UV light. A comprehensive guilloche lacing layer, printed in UV ink, covers nearly the entire card, featuring various glowing star types in the left-hand corner.
